Vote Casting - An Important Responsibility

As soon as elections are coming nearer to country, the heart beats of inhabitants are getting increased. Its basic reason is that one who has a little bit pain for the country, for him the integrity of Pakistan is such a duty for that everything can be sacrificed.
The right for voting and its correct usage is a compulsory obligation. Allah ordered “verily, Allah orders you that give mandate to right persons” Due to this reference, its correct use is compulsory. Because vote is a kind of testification what you cast for any candidate. Allah says “And you don’t hide the testification”
The majority of public know that vote casting a worldly matter and it has no concern with religion. This is the consequence of distance from the religion. Because by not casting the vote or wrongly casting the vote may get selected a wrong leadership, for whose we will be responsible equally. Therefore, casting the vote and its correct usage is a religious responsibility.
In Sura Tauba the characteristics of those people have been defined who are able to lead any society. Whenever we cast our vote, then we should have the saying of our Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in mind, who says“Your best leaders are those, to whom you love and they love to you, to whom you remember in you prays and they remember you in their prays and your worst leaders are those, to whom you hate and they hate you and on whom you send your curse and they send their curse on you.”
The situation of country is before us. For this account, we all should take care of our responsibility and select to that candidate who is pious, honest, sincere, country lover and well-wisher of common men. His manifesto should be in favour of islam, muslim and nation and not against the quran, sunnet and solidarity of country.

The story of encouragement - Farida Kanwal

Farida Kanwal reached to busiest city Karachi from calm and quite valley of Hunza when she was only two years old. Hunza – a mountainous valley – at the extreme north side of Pakistan, where her family lived in a remote village. Farida’s mother sought good education as the only solution for getting prosperity and decided to leave the family home and shifted to Karachi for giving her daughter a promising future.

“My mother struggled a lot,” admits Farida. “She wanted me to do better than others. She had differences with her own family over the move, but her brother supported her and that made all the difference.”

Aga Khan Gymkhana Karachi enrolled her and she did her Intermediate from DHA College. The sheer encouragement from her mother made her take the graduating degree from Sir Syed University with major of computer science.

Farida and her colleague named Muhammad Zubair strived to develop a school project into an App, but couldn’t be successful. In this situation, Muhammed Zubair suggested to get job which Farida refused as one should create jobs rather than only picking jobs and advised him to take another attempt.   While they were busy to find new ideas, one of their friend had a concern to know full about his son’s school activities. As Farida had an experience of teaching in a school and was well-known about the problems arising in day-to-day school management. So, she decided to work on an App made for school systems. Queno came into being when their another colleague named Mudassir Khanani joined them.

Queno is an innovative mobile App that controls much of the teacher’s manual work, from attendance and test diaries to the test calendar. Due to having access the information, parents are well aware about their children’s actual activities and positions in their schools. Customization in App according to school needs can also be done. Farida claims “Queno is all you need in one application,” and “We put a school into a mobile App.”
Before any school tries their system, the partners had to approach several schools for this purpose. “It was difficult in the beginning to change mindsets,” admits Farida. “The teachers found it difficult to switch over from a manual system, but we gave them hands-on training for a month, and they caught on. Now, they say the system saves time and is more efficient.”

A good market is available here,” says Farida, “but, we were not aware to align until we were chosen for an incubation programme managed by Karandaaz Women Entrepreneurship Challenge at Invest to Innovate  (i2i). The Karandaaz intervention gave us mentors to help with marketing techniques. We met investors and changed our business plan.”
The participants went outside their comfort zone though this programme, as sessions in Lahore and Islamabad, and a network started to form into place. Queno added on schools in Islamabad on client base that had been restricted to Karachi only through this network. As Farida did never travelled outside from Karachi so this experience proved to be a game changer. “The not only pivoted our business plan,” affirms Farida “They changed my personality.” As once she was so shy even for a group presentation now a smiling, calm young lady having details of her business at her finger tips.

She analyzes that Queno’s founders instead of being technical experts had not business acumen. “Investors would ask for our accounts sheets,” she adds, “but we didn’t have anything to show.” All of changing shown when the incubator gave Queno a virtual CFO. Farida and Zubair learnt to make accounts sheets, evaluating the company and setting expenses against incomes. After getting the sufficient informations, they started to concentrate on growing their business. At the moment, there are three fulltime and two part time employees in Queno except from their founders. Farida desires to enhance her marketing network and add members to her team. That way, she declares, “More people will learn new skills, and become familiar with the needs of that she took the right decision,” utters Farida, “She brought me up to be strong enough to manage my own business and my own life.”

Global Food Crises

The Food Crisis Is Being Sighted Globaly And Has Been An Alarming Issue. The Govt. Should Make A Concrete Policy Regarding Coping With It.

In My Opinion, These Steps Can Be Taken As Initial Precautions:

1. First We Should Have The Food Reserve Sufficient For Five Years As It Has Come To My Knowledge The Some Countries Such As China Store Thier Food Grains For Ten Years.

2. A Survey Should Be Made At The Govt. Level To Find Out The Idol Lands Where The Cultivation Could Be Done And All Necessary Amenities Should Be Assured Possibly Reached There.

3. People Should Be Given The Messages Through Media To Develop An Awareness That They Don’t Waste The Food Items As Usually Is Seen In The Events Of Marriage And Other Functions And Also The Food Is One Of The Best ‘Naimat’ Which Should Not Be Wasted Recklessly.

How To Improve English Speaking

English is an international language and now has been become the only approved language of the world. Through it one can easily explain to the people most often in the entire world. So, keeping this importance in the view, it looks mandatory that without having sufficient knowledge/grip over this language one cannot excel into the fields of education and business. Because only the good grip over the English language gives the surety of success in the present world. Now, question arises how we can improve our English speaking capability. For that purpose I have some suggestions which as far as I think will not only increase our English speaking capability but also boost our confidence level up.

• Watching the English Program into TV: This is one of the best way to improve the English speaking as in this way one learns that in which situation what questions or talking is made and how the response is given. It much depends upon the looking at these programs with a bit of understanding and grasping the knowledge. In some channels movies are relayed with the stripe running on downside which shows those words written on it which are being delivered by the mouths of actors. So it improves the understanding with the language.

• Reading the Comics and Cartoon Magazines: Comic and cartoon magazines are also a good way to improve English speaking as there are pictures of that story which is published into the papers, in which characters speak with each others and this gives also clue to the spectators that what and how should be said in that situation. I think watching the movies onto TV and reading the magazines give the same results.

• Speaking with Others: The most applicable and simplest way to learn any language is to speak with those who speak well. There is very common obstacle which keeps away majority to learn in this way is the lack of determination. In this way, one thinks that if he speaks so people would laugh over his weak speaking and this thing doesn’t let him speak continuously and he stops speaking. Although it is very common rule that speaking of any language comes by speaking much. So, it is good practice to speak English with those who speak well.

I think these are the basic rules which can enhance English speaking capability. There might be some other appropriate rules but in the practical way I think above ones are the best.

Causes of shortages in livelihood

Every deed of muslims, should be for the obeying and approval of Allah and His messenger (PBUH). Due to divergence from the Islamic doctrines, disobeying of Allah and His messenger (PBUH), today more or less every person is stuck in problems by some means. Main of them is the shortage of income and unblessingness (Bebarkati) of livelihood (Rizq). Today may be any home look protected from this problem. The main cause of short livelihood is only our bad deeds what has been described in the Soora-a-Shoora that “and what the trouble you get is due to that reason what your hands earned and Allah forgives very much”.

It is spoken by common observation that we are inclined to adopt the difficult sources to solve our problems but our mind does not go to see the easy ways to get the ‘Barkat” in our livelihood. For one who seeks the Barkat, it is necessary that first he know the causes of un-blessings and get rid of it.

If we see around us, we might hardly find any home escaped from the dishonor of livelihood. More homes would look so as where the peoples have no guilt feeling over dishonor of livelihood. The people living in, from marvelous bungalows to narrow cabins look stuck in this disobedience and carelessness. From marriages and other parties to the time of dish washing how much quantity of curry, rice and breads are drained out we all know and usually we overlook this cause of shortage in the livelihood.

Ummul Momineen Hazrat Ayesha Siddiqua (RA) tells that “while the ruler of Madina (PBUH) came to his cabin, saw a piece of bread, lifted it up cleaned, ate and then said “ Ayesha, respect this good thing, this thing (bread) did not came again there from where it has moved”.

There are many reasons except dishonor of livelihood which cause for the shortage of un-blessingness i.e. the habit of much sleeping (it also creates illiteracy), doing sins specially telling lie, calling parents with their names, not caring for lifting the food grains from the underneath, leaving the garbage in home, laziness in performing prayers, eating without washing hand, delaying in eating although food has been served, not cleaning to the eaten plates, leaving uncovered the plates from which ate and most important of them, eating without saying Bismillah. The religious scholars say that increased nails are also the cause of shortage of livelihood.

Frequently people complain that the shortage of livelihood is so severe that the quantity of grocery which last by the month end now finishes at the middle of the month. If it would be seen carefully it will be known that people are unmindful to the Sunnet of saying Bismillah before they eat. Syedina Huzaifa (RA) tells that Huzoor (PBUH) said “On which food, the Bismillah is not cited, the satan gets along with it” (Sahee Muslim) so as the same way, this is quite clear from it that if Bismillah is not cited, the blessings (Barkat) lives going.

Once Abbasid caliph Mamoon Rasheed invited to Hadba Bin Khalid (R.A.) to his home. During the feast whatever the food grains were fell on the underneath, he used to eat lifting them. Mamoon asked astonishingly “Ye Sheikh! Your belly didn’t fill so far”. He said “ why not, Hazrat Hammad Bin Salma has told a Hadith to me that “ One who eat lifting the fallen food grains will have never face the shortage of income” I am acting upon this Hadith”. Listening that Mamoon was highly impressed and called to servant who brought one thousand dinars tied in a handkerchief. Mamoon presented it to Hazrat Hadba Bin Khalid. Hazrat Hadba Bin Khalid said Alhamdollilah the blessing of acting upon Hidth appeared quickly.

Most often it has been listened to people that “the boost is going to happen in the wealth of haram accepting and spending life full of sins’ person’s wealth”. In this regard understand that it a dangerous trick of devil. If you think in this way, so only non-muslim and pagans are seen as per worldly success. The acquiring of worldly wealth and success in spite of non-believing and sins is not due to privilege, so muslims should solve their problems according to the light of Quran and Hadiths instead of sticking in evil doubts. If we try to solve our problems according to the saying of Allah and His messengers (PBUH)’s orders then we must be successful to acquire unlimited benefits of this world and hereafter.

Energy Crisis In Pakistan

Self-sufficiency in energy is the assurance to excel any country’s economy. According to an international analysis, the oil and gas reserves will be finished into the second half of this current century. For that reason, to attain self-sufficiency, alternative energy resources are being explored. There are 929 billion tons approx. coal reserves available in the world whose 40% is used to produce the electricity. As per an estimation, third biggest coal reserve of 185 billion ton exists in Pakistan which is equivalent to 400 billion barrels of oil. In other words, our coal reserves are equivalent to Saudi Arab and Iran’s combined oil reserves.

As per research, $50 per barrel price gives the value of our coal reserve as high as $30 trillion which goes to 187 times high as compared to current GDP of Pakistan. Current government has taken appropriate actions to produce the electricity from Thar coal and other resources during the three to five coming years. Recently, Sindh Government has contracted with a multi-national firm and work has been started to produce the 1000 mega watt electricity from the coal.

These power generating projects will save huge foreign currency which is spent on the import of oil. The second largest oil producing country Iran too is producing electricity from coal. China, in this time is producing 75% electricity with coal and is ready to help us produce electricity with coal. The strong lobby of multi-national oil companies didn’t let the plans of generating the electricity from wind and coal come into being.

In world level, the share of electric produced by the gas is 19% while in Pakistan 45%, nuclear energy’s share in world total energy is 16% while in Pakistan only 2%, hydro-generated electricity’s share into the world’s total energy share is 16% but in Pakistan 3.3% and from oil in world only 7% but in Pakistan is 16%. Poland and Germany produce the electricity more than 80% from coal. Likewise, South Africa 93%, India 78.3%, Australia 77%, China 72%, Germany 52%, America 49%, Denmark 47.3% and UK 32.9% produce the energy from coal. Pakistan produces only 200 mega watt from coal which is 7% of total energy production while the energy produced by coal should be up to 25%.

An important and natural resource of alternative energy is wind. Minimum 13 kilometer per hour wind blowing is supposed to be sufficient. By luck, we have the points for the production of wind energy which is available into the coastal areas of Karachi, Thatta, Jiwani and Baluchistan’s coastal belt and other areas situated into northern areas and Azad Kashmir. This time from wind Germany 18000 mega watt, USA 7000 mega watt, and Spain 8000 mega watt are producing the energy.

Wind energy is of importance as it does not create any environmental pollution at all. Solar energy is one of the cheapest and important way to produce the energy. As per scientists, the energy received from the sun in one hour is more than the whole world’s total produced energy in a year. As per analysis if only half percent of desert land is used for solar energy it would cater the energy demand for this entire world. Pakistan has much potential for solar energy because Pakistan is receiving 19 mega joules per square meter in a year through which 90% of rural area can be provided the electricity.

Like wise, geysers run by solar energy can reduce the demand of natural gas in the northern areas. Nuclear energy is also a cheap resource to attain the electricity. We are producing only 462 mega watt electricity from nuclear resources which is only 2% of our energy production by alternative resources. In the contrary, in the world 16% electricity is being produced by nuclear energy. Our natural gas reserves are finishing rapidly so therefore, it is necessary that electricity be produced by alternative resources and dependency over the natural gas could be lessened. If just 50% of alternative resources available in Pakistan is used so we can export the additional energy to neighbor states. No doubt self-sufficiency in energy is the first key in attaining the country-wide economical and social development.

Friendship with book

There was a time, when reading of any new and good book was treated as honour. People proudly used to quote the newly read book. The reader was seen with great honor and value. People not only listened him carefully but also sought advice from him in several matters. Elder people used to tell by reading the good and nor forgetting portions of books to children especially youth by which not only knowledge increased but also ethical values became stronger. But all this sayings became old, book reading turned to be a dream, first computer took the place of book then after mobile make tiny to every thing. First computer chatting and then mobile SMS reached the book reading very far. What is reading and what impact it has over the human life, new generation does not know at all. In other words, now book reading seems to be a boring and outdated work. First, one gets no time left from studying the curriculum and if one gets luckily some time, so it is spent for computer and mobile. What is the reason that we have left a very good hobby at all? Have we limited to ourselves? Have we gotten used to spending mechanic life? Reciting others’ wrong deeds and pulling them back, we have become so much busy that we don’t have time to adopt a good hobby. Reading with interest and patience is also an art and selection of the book written by the best writer also designates us as a well-interested person. The reading of a good book is not only a good hobby but also teaches us how to spend our lives. The etiquette and courtesy they all are gotten from the book reading without paying any tuition fee. Due to the habit of book reading not only our elders will be pleased but also younger siblings and others will also learn good things, listen us intentionally and find them applicable. The reading of any standard book will never make us feel as if we had lost our time. Reading is also an art and the habit of reading prevents us doing other bad deeds and causes to bring the patience in our lives. So, from today befriend of book.

Continuous struggle

A king having been defeated in a war was hid in a cave. He was very disappointed that after attempting many times, he could have not been successful. He was sitting on a rock very sadly and staring at an ant which was busy in the efforts to climb on a steeper wall. He noticed that the wall was enough slippery and the ant could have not been successful for a time. The king forgot lamenting on his failure and paid his full attention to the struggle which the ant was making there. He kept looking and after some time passed he got startled that the ant was climbing over the wall. On considering the reason, he excavated the result that so many attempts laid some scratches on that slippery wall on which the ant fixing her legs vehemently was able to advance upward. The incident proved to be a eye-opener for the king. He was very impressed with that incident and stood up filled with passion and said to himself that when a silly creature like ant can be successful in her goals after some attempts, so why I could not be. He came out from the cave with great ambition and gathered his soldiers and attacked on enemy with much courage and defeated him. This story is lesson for those who lose their hearts while they face failure first time and stop taking next attempt for next time. I think that, it is the main problem of majority of our youth for not excelling in any field. They start working on any task with great enthusiasm which was fueled by the dreams which they had. But, their dreams prove to be so fragile that even a little gust of failure shatter them into thousand pieces and as a result they leave having further attempt on that task. One must keep very clearly in mind that, whenever one decides to accomplish any task there is fifty fifty chances for success and failure. And realizing this fact, one must feel good and have no pressure on him. I am not going to advise for not paying much attention on task which one has decided to devote. But, my point is that one should not take it on his nerve and keep oneself relaxed in the period of achieving the goals. When a person is relaxed then he can use his full faculties to attain his goals. And unlikely if one faces failure at first attempt then it does not mean that one should stop working more. Instead, he should search for the reasons of the failure and try to correct them for gaining success in future. If one makes this strategy, at last he will compulsorily get the success.

The future of education in Pakistan

The education is of great significance. Education is the only thing which maximizes one’s potentials. It seems right to say that a man cannot be considered having proper senses until he gets the education.

There are two reasons for the importance of education. The first it that the training of human mind cannot be completed without education and it makes a man right thinker and guides him about how to think and how to take decision.

The another reason for the significance of education is that only by getting education, one is able to fetch the information from external world; to be cognizant himself with past history and attains all important information regarding present. Without proper education, man seems to be in a closed room having no out way and with education he finds himself in a room having windows open towards outside world.

In future, education is of great significance in Pakistan as the geo-economic aspects are going to be changed in the region and new alliances are coming into being. Pakistan is advancing toward economic progress and one of the main considerable is CPEC. When the CPEC would start to be running in its full then Pakistan will have to fulfill the requirement to run it fully for, a great number of educated people will be required. It looks that it will not be restricted in some sectors such as IT and finance but it is the conjecture that the people of all trades and sectors will be needed highly. So, the government will have to take an appropriate step to bridge the gap which is considered to come when these needs come. And, this is possible in only one situation and that is when education is given due importance. There is no doubt to say that only proper education will be able to move the wheel of progress toward success.

The above-mentioned significance of education in future is possible in only one case when planners of government departments could realize the call of time and take sober step for justifying the importance of education.

Benefits of Performing Prayers

I have been praying from the age of seven. I was persuaded to perform prayers by my father who used to keep me with him whenever he went to perform prays. So, it became my habit after a while and I kept praying regularly and after praying for more than four decade I noticed following benefits as per my own conscience:
1- The practice of praying regularly makes its performer punctual even in worldly matters. His time commitments hardly get un-achieved.
2- Physique wise the performer entertains usually the best body shape. Although, he does not abstain from those foods which are seemed to be prohibited along with the going age.
3- After performing prayer, one feels oneself full of energy as a pond of energy were flowing inside him. This condition expels out to one from laziness/drowsiness and one feels much active as compared to before praying condition.
4- After performing prayer one feels as if the burden of thoughts have removed from his head and one feels as light weighted as flowers might be.
Indeed the benefits of prayers will be far more than as mentioned above. These are the only few ones which have been revealed out on me with the passing time.
